Since we got the new apartment, I couldn't wait to start getting Catherine Ann's room ready! So, it begins... :-) Mom and I went to the paint store to look at samples and see which color would look best. I had decided that I wanted to paint her room a light pastel green and then use brown and pink as the accent colors in her room. When we were looking at paint samples, I fell in love with this color. I took several samples home to Nick and let him pick out his favorite too. Apparently...great minds think alike! He picked the same color I had chosen as my favorite! :-) So, this past Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, we painted her room. Above are pictures I took. All in all, we are very pleased with the outcome. :-) Now I can't wait to start decorating!!

Latest Update!
On Friday, Nick and I drove around looking at a couple different apartments to move into after our lease ran out on our house at the end of May. Well - we came across an apartment that was being offered at a really good rate and the special ended on Saturday, 2/14. After thinking through everything, we knew it was something we couldn't pass up on! So, we went and signed the lease on Saturday and now we have two establishments for the next 3 months! The good thing about it is that we will end up saving money in the long run - isn't that great news! :-) And, another good thing is - I can start decorating baby Catherine Ann's room (painting, etc...) before any funiture or other knick knacks are moved in!
What else...well - for Valentine's day, Nick cooked steak dinner. It was delicious! Then, that night, I surprised him with tickets to go see the Freestyle motocross event at the FedEx forum. :-) We had a blast!
This is the only update I have for now! Check back soon! :-)

Prayers Needed!
I decided I would sent out a request for prayers. About a week ago, my cousins house caught on fire in Port St. Lucie, FL and they lost everything. There has been an ongoing investigation as to what might have caused the fire. They seem to think that the fire started in the dryer. Unfortunately, dryer fires can be one of the worst fires.
If you would, please keep my cousin, Brian, and his girlfriend, Sarah, in your prayers. Right now is a really tough time for them, but prayer is going to help get them through!
THANK YOU!!

Wonderful Maternity Inventions!
I have always heard that maternity belts make a world of difference. And, lately, I have been having lower back pains. (I know, I know, it is only the beginning! :-) ) Every night before I go to bed, I use a vibrating back massager to try and losen up the muscles. It definitely helps for the time being, but, waking up the next morning - it's a new day and here comes more back pains!! So, my sister bought me this maternity belt to try. Let me tell you - it is THE BEST!!! Right when I put it on, I could feel immediate relief. The fact that I am only 18 weeks right now and it is helping me so much, I can only imagine the relief it is going to bring me when I get closer to 30+ weeks!!
If anyone knows of any other "wonderful maternity inventions," please feel free to send them my way!! :-)

Bedding!
I have been looking at different bedding sets for Catherine Ann's crib and I think I found the perfect one! When I started searching, I was only interested in the colors of pink and brown, but I wanted there to be a cutsey pattern to it. Then, I came up with the bright idea of "butterflies" in honor of my maternal grandmother. Some of us believe that after she died, she came back as a butterfly. :-) It's awesome! Sometimes, when we are talking about her or thinking of her, a butterfly appears out of nowhere. We just know it has to be her letting us know she is still around! :-) So, trying to meet the criteria of the colors pink and brown and a cute pattern with butterflies, I started looking at BabiesRus.com. Then I came across this one! It couldn't be any more perfect! And, since it is meant for a rectangle crib, it looks like the previous question has been answered. RECTANGLE crib it is!!
Even though I am able to check bedding off the list - I still have so many more tasks to complete! Stay tuned...this journey is only beginning!!
Cribs!!
The question of the day! Should we go with a round or rectangle shaped crib? I have been doing some research and it has come to my attention that is is much easier to find bedding and accessories for a rectangle crib than it is to find for a round crib. And, the bedding that I like for a round crib is way to expensive! But the round cribs are just so cute!! Does anyone know of some websites I can look at to help me with making my choice? Oh - these tough decisions!! :-)
Any input? :-)

Boy or Girl?
Today was amazing! I felt Boo kick for the first time. I was laying under my heated blanket and I think my stomach got a little hot...Boo obviously didn't like that too much! He/She started kicking! What a feeling!! :-)
Tomorrow is the big day! We find out if Baby McGavic (AKA Boo) is a boy or girl! It seems like just yesterday that we found out we are pregnant...and now we are already to finding out the gender. We are going to our doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon and then we are doing our big reveal dinner tomorrow night at Russo's New York Pizzeria. We can't wait to share the gender with everyone! No matter what the gender...as long as he/she is healthy, that's just fine with us! Stay tuned for the big reveal! :-)
